South Eastern Economic Development (SEED) Corporation

South Eastern Economic Development (SEED) Corporation is is a nonprofit corporation certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), set up in 1982 to improve the economy of the region by helping small businesses get started, grow and create jobs. SEED makes loans ranging from a $1,000 Micro Loan to a $5.5 million SBA 504 Loan and also administers a small business technical assistance program.

With a 36-year history of meeting the region’s small business community’s needs, SEED continues to serve in two primary roles:

• Assisting and supporting small businesses during their start-up phase to help secure traditional financing; and
• Promoting the expansion of existing businesses by working with lending institutions and the SBA to provide the best possible financing package.
