Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMEDIC)

The Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMEDIC) is the largest regional MedTech association in the United States, with over 300 members representing manufacturers, product developers, suppliers, research institutions and academic health centers. Over the past 20+ years, the efforts of MassMEDIC and its members have driven industry success and growth in the region, establishing Massachusetts as a world leader in this sector.

Through their services, programs and collaborative initiatives their members gain the knowledge they need to identify emerging industry trends, understand the impact of local and national policies, and implement change within their organizations to succeed in this new healthcare reality.

• Advocacy: They advocate industry positions at the state and federal levels to promote policies developed by our members that reflect the unique interests of the state’s MedTech sector.
• Networking: They provide numerous networking opportunities for MedTech companies and others aligned with the industry, facilitating introductions to manufacturers, suppliers, researchers, industry leaders, investors, management experts and other potential business partners both in the U.S. and abroad.
• Fostering Innovation: As an organization strongly committed to supporting MedTech start-ups, MassMEDIC offers a variety of resources, including business plan development, access to business development executives at MedTech OEMs, and mentoring to MedTech entrepreneurs at the early stages of their companies’ conceptualization, formation and development.
• Events: They host the region’s two leading annual MedTech industry events: the MassMEDIC Annual Conference in May and the MedTech Showcase in October, as well as a series of informational programs throughout the year featuring expert speakers on industry critical topics.
