Hook+Line: A Rising Star in Boston’s Dining Scene Supported by BLDC
Boston Local Development Corporation proudly recounts our involvement with Hook + Line, a vibrant and thriving new restaurant venture. Our organization played a pivotal role by providing essential financial support in the form of a $150,000 loan. The loan was instrumental in bringing this new restaurant to life. Hook + Line recently was named one of the top ten new restaurants in Boston to eat this fall in the Boston Globe.
At the helm of Hook + Line is the seasoned restaurant owner, Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli. Tom is no stranger to the support of the Boston Local Development Corporation. Tom’s first restaurant, Alcove, is a shining example of the positive impact that BLDC’s support can have on the local community. Not only did it enrich Boston’s food landscape, but it also played a crucial role in creating employment opportunities. Alcove’s presence, a remarkable 160 jobs were generated in the city. What’s even more commendable is that nearly 98 of these positions were occupied by individuals from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities, contributing to the city’s diversity and inclusivity.
Stay on the lookout for Hook + Line and its sister establishment, H + L Market, a newly opened fresh fish market.
